Mascoma’s Martha MacDonald Named 2026 Administrative Assistant of the Year

Martha MacDonald is likely the first person you will speak with at the Mascoma Valley Regional School District office.

As Administrative Assistant, MacDonald manages the day-to-day operations of the district office, coordinates schedules, troubleshoots problems, handles confidential documents, and is the main point of contact for families, staff, and the Mascoma community.

And earlier this month, she was recognized for excellence by a statewide professional organization.

MacDonald was named as Administrative Assistant of the Year by the New Hampshire Association of Educational Office Professionals (NHAEOP) during its annual conference in North Conway on May 6-8.

MacDonald held administrative roles in private industry until joining SAU 88 in Lebanon in 2004. She brought her skills to Mascoma in 2016.

MacDonald was nominated by Superintendent Amanda Isabelle, Chris Beeso, Special Education Director, and Danielle Pushee, Administrative Assistant Special Education.

Their nominations reflect both a commitment to job excellence, 

proactive problem solving, and thoughtful, respectful communications with colleagues and the Mascoma community.

“Martha exemplifies everything this award is meant to honor: professionalism, integrity, compassion, and excellence in service,” Superintendent Isabelle wrote.

“It is very humbling for me to receive this recognition from the NHAEOP, as there are so many highly capable administrative assistants across the state. I am especially grateful to those in the Mascoma Valley Regional School District who nominated me for this award,” MacDonald said. “I have been truly fortunate to work alongside such committed educational professionals. It really means a lot to me, especially as I head into retirement!”
