WHITMAN — Chief Timothy Hanlon reports that the Whitman Police Department is seeking to identify a man and a woman as suspects in an armed robbery of a CVS on Bedford Street Sunday night.

At approximately 7:05 p.m., Whitman Police responded to the CVS, at 351 Bedford St., for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a store clerk who reported that a man and woman entered the store, and the woman began taking several items and putting them into a bag she had walked in with. When confronted by a store employee, the man brandished what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun from his sweatshirt pocket.

The employee then ran into an office and called 911.

The male and female suspect fled the store towards a nearby McDonald’s.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. No injuries were reported.

Whitman Police are actively working to identify the suspects. Anyone who is able to identify them or has information about this incident is asked to call the Whitman Police Department at 781-447-1212.
