MAYNARD — The Maynard Police Department has arrested and charged a Worcester man with larceny and fraud offenses as a result of a weeklong investigation into recent motor vehicle break ins and thefts in town.

JOSE OLIVIO ADORONO, age 25, of WORCESTER, was arrested and charged with:

  • Larceny of a Motor Vehicle (Two Counts)
  • Receiving Stolen Property Under $1,200, Subsequent Offense (Nine Counts)
  • Credit Card Fraud
  • Larceny of a Credit Card

On Monday, Sept. 29, the Maynard Police Department was notified that a 2017 Acura RDX was stolen from the area of Field Street. The vehicle was recovered in Worcester the following the day.

Later that same day, Maynard Police were notified of multiple motor vehicle break ins in the area of Chandler and Parker streets. Police also learned that a credit card that was in the stolen vehicle had been used.

On Oct. 19, 2025, the Maynard Police Department was notified that a 2021 Subaru Forester was stolen from the area of North Street. That vehicle was recovered in Fitchburg later the same day, and a suspect fled from the vehicle and eluded police.

A subsequent investigation conducted by Maynard Police identified ADORONO as the individual allegedly responsible for stealing both motor vehicles. The investigation also determined that ADORONO had allegedly been in possession of numerous items that were stolen in recent motor vehicle break ins.

Maynard Police obtained an arrest warrant for ADORONO, located him and took him into custody on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

ADORONO was arraigned Wednesday in Concord District Court.

“This case highlights the dedication and hard work of our officers and detectives, whose commitment to keeping our community safe resulted in the arrest of a suspect,” said Chief Troiano. “As always, I’d like to encourage all Maynard residents to please lock your vehicle doors and do not leave valuables in vehicles overnight.”

These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
