HULL — Chief John Dunn reports that the Hull Police Department arrested a Braintree man on drug trafficking and weapon charges.
TIMOTHY M. LESSLIE, 41, of BRAINTREE, was arrested on Thursday and charged with:
- Trafficking in 18 Grams or More of Heroin
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
- Possession of a Class B Drug (Two Counts)
- Possession of a Class C Drug
- Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Carry (Two Counts)
On Thursday, Sept. 18, at about 1:47 p.m., Hull Police Detectives conducted surveillance in connection with an ongoing drug investigation in which they had obtained a search warrant from Hingham District Court.
Following the surveillance, officers and detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop of a gray 2019 Subaru Impreza on Hull Shore Drive.
The driver, identified as LESSLIE, was taken into custody without incident while police investigated and executed the search warrant on the car.
During a search of the vehicle, detectives found a green gym-style bag located in the trunk. The bag was secured with a combination lock and contained multiple compartments, as well as a case.
Inside the case, detectives found what appeared to be illegal narcotics packaged in a manner consistent with street-level distribution.
Hull Police Detectives found multiple clear plastic baggies containing heroin, additional baggies containing crack cocaine, and one bag containing hallucinogenic mushrooms.
During the investigation, police seized 18 grams of heroin, 12 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of mushrooms, 3 grams of methamphetamine, and 1 gram of Adderall. A further search of the vehicle yielded a pair of brass knuckles and a green stun gun, as well as other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
LESSLIE was booked at the Hull Police station and held at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility on $40,000 bail pending his arraignment on Friday in Hingham District Court.
The Hull Police Department would like to thank the Hingham Police Department for their assistance during this investigation. Hingham Police provided a narcotics detection K-9, along with the dog’s handler and a detective.
“Solid police work by our Detectives during this investigation ultimately resulted in the removal of a drug dealer and his narcotic inventory from the streets of Hull,” said Chief Dunn. “The Hull Police Department’s Detective Unit demonstrated top-notch professionalism during this investigation, ultimately arresting the suspect peacefully and without incident.”
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
