TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department has charged a Roxbury woman in connection with a recent carjacking.

JOSELIN TEJEDA PIMENTEL, AGE 29, of ROXBURY, was arrested and charged with:

  • Armed Carjacking
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

On Aug. 3, at approximately 4:16 a.m., Tewksbury Police responded to Carter Street for reports of an individual standing in the parking lot of the Breakaway Ice Center.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individual, who stated that he had been the victim of a carjacking. A preliminary investigation determined that the individual was robbed at gunpoint by two males and a female, who were operating a Ford Explorer. The victim’s red Honda CRV was taken, along with a phone and wallet.

A subsequent investigation identified TEJEDA PIMENTEL as the registered owner of the Explorer.

Tewksbury Police, with the assistance of Boston Police, executed an arrest warrant for TEJEDA PIMENTEL in Boston on Aug. 3

TEJEDA PIMENTEL was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Aug. 4. She was held at MCI Framingham pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Aug. 18.

The other two suspects have not been identified. At this time, it is believed this incident was not a random act and occurred as a result of a car meet-up.
