Winthrop and Revere Police Team with Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department to Charge Revere Man with Trafficking Cocaine

WINTHROP — Winthrop Police Chief John Goodwin reports that Winthrop Police, Revere Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department teamed up on an investigation that led to a Revere man being charged with trafficking cocaine.

WINTHROP — Winthrop Police Chief John Goodwin reports that Winthrop Police, Revere Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department teamed up on an investigation that led to a Revere man being charged with trafficking cocaine.

DAVID QUERUBIN MEJIA, AGE 25, OF REVERE, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Cocaine (Over 100 Grams)
  • Furnishing a False Name or Social Security Number
  • Possession of a Forged Instrument

On Thursday, May 15, officers and detectives from Winthrop Police, Revere Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department teamed up to serve a search warrant in Revere that was obtained as a result of an investigation into drug dealing in Winthrop.

As a result of the search warrant, which was served on QUERUBIN MEJIA‘s apartment at 566 Beach St., Revere, police located 110 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, jewelry, scales and approximately $10,000 in cash.

QUERUBIN MEJIA was taken into custody at the scene as the warrant was being served.

While QUERUBIN MEJIA was being booked, Winthrop Police determined that he was using fraudulent identification cards.

QUERUBIN MEJIA was arraigned Friday in Boston Municipal Court, where he was ordered held on $30,000 cash bail.
