DIGHTON — Police Chief George Nichols is pleased to announce that Dighton Police Officer Todd Kuczewski has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Sgt. Kuczewski was sworn in at a ceremony at the Old Town Hall in Dighton on Jan 8.

Sgt. Kuczewski was appointed as a reserve officer for the Dighton Police Department in 2013 and became a full-time patrolman in 2016.

Prior to his position as sergeant and on-duty shift supervisor, Sgt. Kuczewski has also served as the department’s Civil Rights Officer, Evidence Officer, and Field Training Officer.

“Sgt. Kuczewski has dedicated over 12 years of service to the Dighton Police Department, and he is a natural leader,” Chief Nichols said. “I am confident that he will excel in his new role as a leader in our department, and I commend him on his well-deserved achievement. On behalf of the Dighton Police Department, I thank him for his continued commitment to our community.”
