BOURNE — Superintendent Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou is pleased to announce that Ellen Trott has been appointed as the new Bourne Intermediate School Assistant Principal.

Trott, who most recently was an assistant principal for Franklin Public Schools, joined the Bourne Public School district on July 30.

“Assistant Principal Trott brings decades of classroom and administrative experience and we can’t wait to see her thrive as the assistant principal of Bourne Intermediate School,” said Quinlan-Zhou. “Her leadership and commitment to fostering a positive, nurturing educational environment is eagerly welcomed, and we look forward to the fresh perspective she will provide for our new school year.”

“I am both excited and honored to step into the role of assistant principal at Bourne Intermediate School,” Trott said. “I’m eager to contribute my passion and energy to fostering a positive educational environment where every student and staff member feels valued, supported and empowered to succeed.”

In addition to her previous role as an assistant principal at Franklin Public Schools, Trott was also an assistant principal within the Taunton Public School district from 2021-2023.

Prior to her administrative roles, Trott served as a middle school mathematics teacher and a teaching and learning specialist in the New Bedford Public School district.

Trott has a master’s degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned a Master of Arts in teaching and a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
