UXBRIDGE — Superintendent Michael Baldassarre and Principal Dr. Michael Rubin are pleased to share that Uxbridge High School senior Kathryn Cahill was recently honored with the Worcester County Superintendents Association (WCSA) Scholar Award.

Cahill was presented with the award during the annual Worcester County Superintendents Association Scholar Luncheon, held on Thursday, March 21, at the College of the Holy Cross.

Each year, the WCSA Luncheon gives schools in Worcester County the opportunity to honor one senior student who has demonstrated outstanding academic and non-academic achievements.

Cahill has earned honors all four years of high school and was previously named a recipient of a Women in STEM Award.

During her senior year, Cahill completed her internship at the Taft Early Learning Center, where she specialized in nursing.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Cahill thrives in athletics and currently serves as captain of the Uxbridge Varsity Girls Soccer Team and the Uxbridge Girls Varsity Basketball Team. This year, she signed a National Letter of Intent to the University of Rhode Island to compete in track.

“Throughout her time at Uxbridge High School, Kathryn has demonstrated excellence both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Principal Dr. Rubin. “We are thrilled to recognize her for her hard work and dedication to the Uxbridge High School community.”
