DOVER — Dover School District is proud to recognize Matt Fennessy, who received the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) 25 Years of Coaching Award on Monday, Sept. 21.
NHIAA’s 25 Years of Coaching Award recognizes and honors coaches enduring contributions, which continue to inspire the next generation of student-athletes and uphold the values of high school athletics in New Hampshire.
Fennessy has been a constant in Dover athletics, coaching boys’ tennis from 2001 to 2011, as well as golf and basketball. He currently coaches Dover High School’s varsity golf team and the varsity boys’ basketball team.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Fennessy has taught social studies at Dover High School since 2002, marking his commitment to Dover students both inside and outside of the classroom.
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition and to continue to serve the district as both a coach and a teacher,” said Fennessy. “I’m grateful for the students, coaches and colleagues who have impacted me throughout the years.”
Dover School District congratulates Fennessy on his well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his dedication to Dover students, athletics and the school community.
