North Andover Police and Fire Respond to Crash Involving Vehicle and Bicycle

NORTH ANDOVER — The North Andover Police and Fire Departments responded Monday afternoon to a serious crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Route 114. 

On Monday, Aug. 10, at approximately 4:17 p.m., the North Andover Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the area of 100 Turnpike St., (Route 114) for a report of a crash.

First responders arrived and found a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle. 

First responders provided immediate medical care to the bicyclist, who was suffering from serious injuries. That individual, an adult male, was taken by medical helicopter to a regional trauma center. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Andover Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
