HANSON — Police Chief Michael D. Casey and Fire Chief Robert O’Brien report that a 9-year-old child fell from a third-story window and was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 12:34 p.m., Hanson Police and Fire responded to a home on Phillips Street for a report of a child who had fallen from a window.
Upon arrival, first responders located a 9-year-old boy suffering from serious injuries.
Hanson Fire paramedics provided immediate treatment and care at the scene. The child was transported by ambulance to a designated landing zone, then flown by medical helicopter to a Boston-area trauma center.
Hanson Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
