Beverly Police and Fire Departments Respond After Teenager Found Unresponsive in Pool

The Beverly Police and Fire Departments performed life-saving measures Wednesday afternoon when a teenage boy was found unresponsive in a pool. 

BEVERLY — The Beverly Police and Fire Departments performed life-saving measures Wednesday afternoon when a teenage boy was found unresponsive in a pool. 

On Wednesday, June 24, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Beverly Police and Fire Departments were notified by 911 call that a boy was found unresponsive in a pool at a home on Parramatta Road. 

Police and Firefighters arrived to find that a 13-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a pool and pulled from the water by bystanders who began CPR. First responders took over CPR and other life-saving measures. 

The boy was transported by ambulance to Beverly Hospital, where he was stabilized before being transferred to a Boston hospital by medical helicopter.

The incident remains under investigation by the Beverly Police Department.
