MANSFIELD — Chief Ronald Sellon reports that the Mansfield Police Department arrested a Middleborough man Friday evening following an investigation into allegations that he secretly recorded beneath a child’s skirt at the Xfinity Center.

BRANDON CORA, AGE 27, of MIDDLEBOROUGH, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Photographing Sexual or Intimate Parts of a Child

On Friday, June 19, at approximately 6:09 p.m., Mansfield officers working at the Xfinity Center during a concert were notified by venue security that a man has been reported using a cellphone to record beneath a 13-year-old girl’s skirt.

A witness alerted security personnel. The victim and her family met with Mansfield Police on the scene, and investigators went to work immediately.

After gathering evidence, taking statements and conducting interviews, Mansfield Police identified the suspect as CORA and transported him to the Mansfield Police Department for booking.

CORA is expected to be arraigned in Attleboro District Court on Monday.

“I want to commend the witness who promptly reported what she observed, as well as the victim’s family and the on-site security personnel who took action and immediately notified police,” said Chief Sellon. “Their response allowed officers to quickly intervene, secure evidence and begin a thorough investigation into these serious allegations. We take incidents like this extremely seriously and will always work to protect our children from abuse and exploitation. This kind of invasive and disturbing behavior has no place in our society.”

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
