Arlington Police Arrest and Charge Man with Open and Gross Lewdness

ARLINGTON — Chief Julie Flaherty reports that the Arlington Police Department arrested and charged a man following an incident near Arlington High School.

LUIS BOSTON, AGE 39, of ARLINGTON, was arrested and charged with:

  • Open and Gross Lewdness

On Friday, June 12, at approximately 11:45 a.m., an Arlington School Resource Officer received a report that a man was exposing himself inside a vehicle parked on Massachusetts Avenue near Arlington High School. School administrators were immediately notified.

A preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle, described as a dark colored SUV, was parked on Massachusetts Avenue and was not located on school property. The incident was reported by students who were returning to school from lunch.

Officers immediately searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the vehicle. Additional patrols were assigned to the area, and school administrators were advised to remain vigilant while officers conducted an investigation.

During the course of the investigation, a second student came forward and reported a separate incident involving the same suspect.

Through an extensive investigation, Arlington Police were able to identify the vehicle involved and its owner.  As a result of the investigation, BOSTON was arrested on June 18 without incident.  BOSTON is scheduled to be arraigned in Cambridge District Court on Thursday.

The Arlington Police Department thanks Arlington Public Schools and the students who promptly reported these incidents, allowing investigators to identify and apprehend the suspect.
