WOBURN — Superintendent Matthew Crowley is pleased to share that Woburn Public Schools has received $34,279.50 in grant funding from the Woburn Community Educational Foundation (WCEF).
WCEF’s grant programs provide classroom materials, educational resources, and professional development opportunities that cannot be funded through the regular City of Woburn budget. Most recently, the Linscott-Rumford School created a school garden using grant support.
By investing directly in teachers and classrooms, WCEF helps bring creative ideas to life and enhances learning experiences for students across the district. Grants awarded by the Foundation support projects that enrich curriculum, foster student engagement, and provide educators with opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge.
“For the past two years, I have been fortunate to receive grants from the Woburn Community Educational Foundation, Inc. to support our use of Generation Genius,” said Malcom White, Grade 1 Teacher, Karen Dionne. “This valuable resource provides high-quality supplemental instruction in science and math through standards-aligned videos, reading materials, hands-on activities, discussion prompts, assessments, games, and more.”
“We are grateful to the many donors, sponsors, and community members whose generosity makes this support possible,” said WCEF Executive Director Alex Rae. “Their contributions help ensure that Woburn educators have access to resources and opportunities that benefit students throughout the city.”
“We are tremendously grateful to WCEF for its commitment to making Woburn Public Schools a district of excellence,” said Superintendent Crowley. “This funding allows students and educators the opportunity to expand our curriculum and specialized projects in a meaningful way.”
