North Middlesex Regional High School Earns Recognition as PLTW Distinguished High School

TOWNSEND — Superintendent Brad Morgan is proud to share that Project Lead The Way (PLTW) has named North Middlesex Regional High School as a PLTW Distinguished High School.

North Middlesex Regional High School is among a select group of schools nationwide to receive this honor, celebrating the school’s implementation of PLTW programs.

The PLTW programs are designed to engage students in hands-on experiences in fields such as engineering, biomedical science and computer science, helping to prepare them for college and future careers.

The PLTW award is given to schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to increasing student access, engagement and achievement in PLTW programs. The PLTW Distinguished High School recognition is awarded based on specific criteria, including the number of PLTW course offerings available during the school year, the percentage of students enrolled in at least one PLTW course, and the percentage of students who take more than one PLTW course.

Students at North Middlesex benefit from PLTW programs through hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for higher-level coursework and careers in STEM fields. Students build confidence, deepen their knowledge, and develop critical skills needed to navigate their futures.

Additionally, PLTW programs also offer pathways for students to explore career interests and, in some cases, earn college credit for their coursework.

“This recognition reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our educators, and our district’s ongoing commitment to expanding opportunities,” said Superintendent Morgan. “We are proud to be recognized by PLTW and will continue to provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences that prepare our students for future successes.”
