Woburn Public Schools’ Partnership with Wish for Wheels Provides Bikes to Altavesta Second Graders

WOBURN — Superintendent Matthew Crowley and Principal Stephen Gallo are pleased to announce that Woburn Public Schools partnered with Wish for Wheels, in collaboration with Salesforce, to provide Grade 2 students at Altavesta Elementary School with brand-new bikes and helmets.

Wish for Wheels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the well-being of children, families and communities by gifting new bikes and helmets to Grade 2 students in Title I schools.

On Tuesday, April 14, Wish for Wheels and Salesforce, a customer relationship management platform, brought 39 volunteers to Altavesta Elementary to assemble and distribute 33 bikes to Grade 2 students. Volunteers worked closely with school staff to ensure the event ran smoothly, creating a meaningful experience for students.

The highlight of the day came when students received their bikes. The excitement and pride on their faces as they rode around the school made for an unforgettable moment.

“This was an incredible experience for our students and a great example of what strong community partnerships can accomplish,” said Principal Gallo. “We are grateful to Wish for Wheels and Salesforce for their generosity and dedication to our students. This is a day they will remember for years to come.”

Woburn Public Schools looks forward to continuing this partnership and providing further opportunities for students.
