MERRIMAC — The Merrimac Fire and Police Departments responded to a crash at the intersection of Mill Street and East Main Street on Monday morning.
On Monday, April 27, at approximately 7:16 a.m., the Merrimac Police and Departments responded to a crash involving a Merrimac Light Department bucket truck.
Upon arrival, crews observed heavy damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
Due to the accident, traffic was diverted from Broad Street. The area was cleared at approximately 8 a.m., and normal traffic patterns have resumed.
“The quick response of our crews and the Merrimac Police Department helped ensure the scene was made safe and traffic disruptions were minimized,” said Fire Chief Larry Fisher. “We remind all drivers to remain alert and use caution during the morning commute, particularly at busy intersections.”
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Merrimac Police Department.
