BURLINGTON — Burlington High School students teamed with the Burlington Police Patrolmen’s Association and the Burlington Police Command Officers Union to serve seniors at the annual Holiday Luncheon.
Burlington High School students organized and set up tables, chairs, and decorations for the event, held at the Burlington Senior Center on Dec. 4.
Officers and students served food and beverages.
A Whole Bunch Flower Market of Burlington provided decorations. Culinary Creations of Burlington prepared lunch.
“It is so great to see our students being a part of a community coming together in such a positive way,” said Principal Mark Sullivan. “I am proud of our students for being able to show, even at their young age, that their contributions make a difference in their community.”
“The annual holiday luncheon is a great way to be able to connect with the community, both our older and younger generations, and come together to celebrate the holidays,” said Police Chief Thomas Browne.
“Burlington Public Schools wants to thank the Burlington Council on Aging and Burlington Police for this amazing opportunity for our students,” said Superintendent Eric Conti. “This was a great chance for students to give back this holiday season.”
