MAYNARD — Chief Angela Lawless would like to share that Maynard Firefighter/EMT Keagan Sheridan successfully completed and graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighter Academy (MFA) on Friday, April 11.
Firefighter/EMT Sheridan was one of 36 graduates from departments in the Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program Class #329.
Firefighter/EMT Sheridan joined the department in May 2024.
During the 50-day training program, participants receive classroom training in all basic firefighter skills. They practice first under non-fire conditions and then during controlled fire conditions. The graduates are now certified at the level of Firefighter I and II and in hazardous material operation.
The other 35 graduates of Class #329 represent the fire departments of Arlington, Ashland, Chelmsford, Devens, Framingham, Lakeville, Leominster, Lynnfield, Millville, Nantucket, Natick, Northbridge, Plymouth, Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Wellesley, and Westminister.
“Congratulations to Keagan on this recent success of graduating from the Massachusetts Fire Academy,” said Chief Lawless. “We are happy to have Keagan as a member of our team and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.”
