MAYNARD — Chief Angela Lawless reports that the Maynard Fire Department extinguished a house fire late Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, June 5, at approximately 11:59 p.m., Maynard Fire responded to 1 Little Road for reports of a house fire.
Upon arrival, crews observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home.
Firefighters began an aggressive transitional attack, and the fire was knocked down around 12:36 p.m.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion and has since been released. No other injuries were reported.
Mutual aid was provided by Acton, Concord, Sudbury, Stow, and Carlisle fire departments, and Pro ALS Ambulance. The Lincoln and Boxborough fire departments provided station coverage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Maynard Fire Department, Maynard Police Department, and State Police assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s office.
