Kearsarge Regional School District Working to Ensure Uninterrupted Transportation after Serious Fire at STA Bus Barn

NEW LONDON, N.H. — Superintendent Winfried Feneberg reports that the Kearsarge Regional School District is aware of the serious fire that occurred at the Valley Transportation building in Bradford, which stored and maintained buses for the school district.

“First and foremost, our thoughts and concerns are for those whom we understand were seriously injured in the fire,” Superintendent Feneberg said.

The District has been informed that multiple buses were damaged or destroyed. District leaders will meet with Student Transportation America, which provides busing services for Kearsarge, at 8 a.m. Friday. Kearsarge has also received offers of support from superintendents in other school districts.

At this time, the Kearsarge Regional School District believes it will be able to provide uninterrupted student transportation services when school resumes on Monday.

Additional updates will be provided after Friday’s meeting with STA leaders.
