NEW LONDON, N.H. — Superintendent Winfried Feneberg is pleased to announce the Kearsarge Regional High School Student Council will be hosting a district-wide winter gear drive starting next week.
WHEN:
Monday, Dec. 14 through Tuesday, Dec. 22.
WHERE:
All Kearsarge Regional School District schools.
WHO:
Kearsarge Regional High School Student Council
WHAT:
Starting next week, the KRHS Student Council will be collecting winter clothing to donate to the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness and Families In Transition New Horizons.
“Although Student Council has not been able to host our normal events at the high school, we have been able to amplify our community outreach efforts, and I am extremely proud of the work our group has done for the upcoming holiday season,” said Nina Spinney, KRHS senior and student council president. “Please consider donating to our winter drive this holiday season, all donations will be extremely appreciated!”
Boxes will be placed at all schools in the district and those who wish to participate can donate brand new winter socks, hats, boots, coats, thermal layers, sweatpants and sweatshirts all primarily in adult sizing.
“Our students have proven to be thoughtful, dedicated community members, especially during these challenging times,” Superintendent Feneberg said. “Great job by all who organized this event and we hope you will help support this cause if you’re able to.”
Those with questions may contact the KRHS Student Council at krhsstudentcouncil@kearsarge.org.
