Acton Town Clerk Eva Szkaradek Recognized with Massachusetts Municipal Clerk Certification

ACTON — Town Manager John Mangiaratti is pleased to announce that Acton Town Clerk Eva Szkaradek has been recognized this week by the Massachusetts Town Clerk’s Association (MTCA) as a Certified Massachusetts Municipal Clerk.

In order to attain the certification, Szkaradek attended educational courses and passed a 250 question aptitude test measuring her knowledge of Massachusetts general laws in categories such as elections and procedures, vital records, campaign and political finance, town meetings, ethics and public records.

“On behalf of the Town of Acton, I congratulate Town Clerk Szkaradek on being honored with this prestigious designation,” Town Manager Mangiaratti said. “This certification is the result of a lot of hard work and is a reflection of Eva’s commitment to furthering her skills and of her dedication to our Town.”

Szkaradek has been Acton’s appointed Town Clerk for 15 years and served as the Assistant Town Clerk for six years prior. Including an additional seven years in different finance divisions, Szkaradek has 28 years of experience with the Town of Acton.
