Rockland Youth Commission Invites Families to Sign Up for Spring and Summer Activities

ROCKLAND – Rockland Youth Commission (RYC) Director Jeanne Blaney would like to invite local families to sign up to participate in its upcoming spring and summer programs.

The RYC offers spring and summer programs for all ages – from toddlers to teenagers. The programs feature a diverse set of activities that help kids and teens stay active, work on creative projects and go on field trips to local sites.

“Our spring and summer programs are part of our mission to provide recreational and instructional programs to kids and teens in the Rockland area,” Director Blaney said.
“The programs allow kids to do many different fun activities with other kids their age.”

April Vacation “Fun Week”

April Vacation is a full week, April 15-19, of activities for kids and teenagers ages 5-14. The week’s activities will include arts & crafts, contests, games and movies. The week also includes field trips to Altitude Trampoline Park and Pinz Kingston.

Hartsuff Park Full Day Program

The Hartstuff Park program is an 8-week program, beginning June 24, for kids ages 5-11. The planned activities include sports, art & crafts, board games, field games, storytelling, music, special guests and swimming. The Hartstuff Park program also includes several Friday field trips to places such as Launch Trampoline Park, Rock On Adventure, Cape Cod Inflatable Park and Lazer Gate.

Kids Spartan Training

The Kids Spartan Training helps kids stay active by working through an obstacle course. Kids will practice balance, strength and endurance. The program concludes with an obstacle course race on June 25. The Kids Spartan Training is for kids grades 1-6 and begins May 28.

Rockland Teen Adventure

The Rockland Teen Adventure is an 8-week program, beginning June 24, for kids and teens ages 10-14. Teens will participate in a variety of activities including swimming, kickball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, arts & crafts, board games, group games and archery. Teens will also attend two field trips per week to places such as APEX Entertainment, Canobie Lake Park, Water Wizz, Tree Top Adventures and Archery Games Boston.

The RYC offers various programs throughout the spring and summer months. To see available events and registration information, visit the Rockland Youth Commission website.
