Woburn Police Investigating Stabbing

WOBURN — Chief Robert Rufo reports that the Woburn Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 2 a.m., police responded to 740 Main St. on a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, Woburn Police and Fire found a large New Year’s Eve party taking place at the residence.

One person, a 19-year-old man from Everett, suffered a stab wound to his abdomen. He was transported to an area hospital by the Woburn Fire Department, where he was treated and released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Woburn Police Department, however a preliminary investigation indicates that the victim suffered his injury following an altercation at the party.
