Bridgewater Police Investigating Prank Hostage Situation

BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department is investigating an incident where a prank alluded to a hostage situation at a home in town.

The initial investigation indicates that the incident was a prank and at no time was there a hostage situation. There is no current danger to the public.

The matter involves a juvenile and is actively under investigation by Bridgewater Police detectives.
