Pepperell Police Searching for Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run at Crosswalk

PEPPERELL – Chief David Scott reports that the Pepperell Police Department is investigating a hit and run at a crosswalk in town yesterday that left one man injured.

On Tuesday, May 31, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a request for an ambulance on Main Street near Carter Street for an injured man.

Responding officers located a 54-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim stated that he was hit by a car while crossing Main Street inside the crosswalk near Carter Street. He was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

The vehicle, which was heading westbound on Main Street, is described as a small, green car, possibly a dark teal color, and should have damage to the front, passenger side.

“We are actively searching for the driver involved in this incident,” Chief Scott said. “Anyone with information is asked to call Pepperell Police immediately.”
