*Media Advisory* Georgetown Fire Department Heads Out On Santa Tour for Toys for Tots Event This Weekend

GEORGETOWN — Chief Fred A. Mitchell Jr. announces that the Georgetown Fire Department will be taking Santa around town this weekend as part of their 16th annual fundraising event for Toys for Tots. 

“Santa is making a special trip to Georgetown to help us collect toys for children in need,” Chief Mitchell said. “We’re excited to once again get out into the community during the holiday season to see our young residents and support this worthy cause.”

WHAT

Firefighters and Santa will be collecting new, unwrapped toys, for children, ages infant to 16, all along their route. If you miss the fire department, you can still drop off a toy at the police or fire station on Central Street.

WHEN

Sunday, Dec. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. on North Street at the Byfield town line and ending just before 7 p.m. at the fire station on Central Street.

WHERE

Keep an eye and ear out for the Georgetown Fire Department, they’ll be bringing Santa throughout the town’s neighborhoods, traveling over 60 miles for their cause.
