Littleton Police Department Arrests 18-Year-Old For Assault and Battery

LITTLETON — Police Chief Matthew J. King reports that the Littleton Police Department last evening arrested a teenager for allegedly assaulting a man with multiple kinds of dangerous weapons.

NOAH PRATT, AGE 18, OF LITTLETON was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Littleton Police were called to an address on Birch Road at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man armed with a knife. Upon arrival, officers could hear a man yelling at PRATT from inside the residence. Officers made entry and saw the suspect, another man, and a woman inside. After separating the parties, police determined that PRATT lived by himself in the residence, owned by his mother. The mother recently moved out and was living with a male companion.

An argument ensued over a checklist of tasks that PRATT’S mother had left for PRATT to complete in exchange for being allowed to live in the house. The argument became heated, and PRATT allegedly punched his mother’s male companion with a closed first and threw a cooking pan at him, striking him in the right hip area. PRATT then allegedly pulled out a butcher’s knife.

Chief King praised his officers for arriving quickly and deescalating the incident before someone was seriously injured.

“This was a volatile situation, which could have been a lot worse had it not been for our Littleton Police Officers arriving to calm the situation,” Chief King said. “Our officers should be commended for their patience and hard work.”

PRATT was booked at the Littleton Police Department pending arraignment in Ayer District Court.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
