Littleton Police Arrest Alleged Purse Snatcher
Suspect Allegedly Robbed 90-Year-old Woman
LITTLETON — Police Chief Matthew J. King announced today a man was arrested and charged after an investigation into the a 90-year-old woman whose purse was snatched in a grocery store parking lot.
As a result of an aggressive investigation, THOMAS FRAZIER, AGE 45, OF WARREN has been charged with unarmed robbery. FRAZIER was also held on several outstanding arrest warrants from other communities.
The charges step from a report on Wednesday, September 17, when a 90-year-old woman reported that she has been the victim of a purse snatching at a parking lot in Littleton. Police were given the description of an older model white Ford Explorer with gold trim headed out of town. The department broadcast a description of the vehicle, and a Westford Police officer responded with a full license plate number of a vehicle matching that description, leading police to the owner of the vehicle and ultimately FRAZIER, on the morning of the 18th.
Officers were subsequently able to return the victim’s belongings back to her.
The suspect will be arraigned later today in Ayer District Court.
