Arlington Police Investigating Shots Fired At House Overnight
No Injuries Reported
ARLINGTON — Police Chief Frederick Ryan announces that the Arlington Police Department is investigating shots fired at a home late last evening.
Police were called to an address on Old Colony Road. On arrival, officers found ballistic evidence and bullet holes in two motor vehicles and in the home. The residents, a married couple, were home at the time, but no one was injured.
“This is a very troubling incident, in which the peace and calm of a residential neighborhood was shattered by gunfire,” Chief Ryan said. “We will aggressively pursue all leads and work to bring the perpetrator or perpetrators to justice.”
The investigation is in its preliminary stages right now, but the Arlington Police Department does not believe this was a random act of violence. Chief Ryan stresses that he does not believe there is a danger to the community.
The Arlington Police Department is aggressively investigating the scene with assistance from the State Police Forensic Services Group. The department is asking anyone who may have heard or seen the shooting to call Arlington Police at 781-643-1212. Your call will be kept anonymous if you wish.
