Stoneham Police Seeking to Identify Suspects in Gas Station Break-In

Two Men Broke into Mobil Station on South Street at 2 a.m. on August 21

STONEHAM — Police Chief James McIntyre and the Stoneham Police Department are seeking to identify two men seen in video surveillance footage breaking into and stealing items from the Mobil gas station located at 2 South St. in Stoneham.

“We hope that someone knows who these two individuals are and can help us bring them to justice,” Chief McIntyre said. “Please come forward if you know something. Your calls may remain anonymous.”

Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday, August 21 for a report of an activated commercial burglar alarm from the gas station. Police arrived minutes later and observed the side door of the business had been pried open. Police entered the building and saw numerous items scattered on the floor, and that an interior office door had been forced open.

The two men stole items including cigarettes, and a small amount of cash from the gas station.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in his mid-to-late 20s. The second suspect appears to be a white male in his mid-to-late 20s as well.

Police do not believe this break-in is connected to Friday’s armed robbery of a different Mobil station, on Montvale Avenue.

Stoneham Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed or may have information about either crime to call 781-438-1215. Your call may remain anonymous.
