Stoneham Police Charge Two Men, One Juvenile With Breaking into Convenience Store
STONEHAM — Police Chief James McIntyre today announces that three males have been charged with breaking into a convenience store early Monday morning.
Shortly after midnight on Monday, June 23, 2014, Stoneham Police responded to the DB Mart on Main Street in Stoneham for an activated burglar alarm. Investigating officers found the front door glass broken. After talking to the store manager and reviewing surveillance footage, detectives determined that three males broke into the store, entered, knocked down some items on the counter, and then left with several scratch lottery tickets and packages of cigarettes.
Stoneham Police detectives observed distinctive clothing worn by the suspects. Several hours later, during the late morning hours on Monday, officers located the suspects, wearing the same clothes they had worn hours early to allegedly break into the store.
After completing the investigation, which included questioning all three suspects individually and the juvenile suspect with a parent present, Stoneham Police charged TYLER JAMES MANNING, age 18, of Stoneham, WILLIAM E. HENRY, age 18, of Melrose, and a JUVENILE MALE with:
- Breaking and entering during the nighttime to commit a felony
- Malicious destruction of property
- Receiving stolen property
The complaints were filed in Woburn District Court and the applicable juvenile court. The suspects will be summonsed to court at a later date.
