Arlington Police Announce New Service, Providing Quick, Digital Access to Traffic Accident Reports
GetCrashReports.com Provides Convenient Online Access to Reports
Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan today announced a new service that will provide convenient, online access to traffic accident reports and allow residents to skip an in-person trip to the police station in the future.
As a service to Arlington residents and businesses, the Police Department has partnered with GetCrashReports.com.
“This online service allows people to access accident reports quickly and efficiently, without having to come to the police station,” Chief Ryan said. “A person in the aftermath of a motor vehicle accident has enough on their plate between insurance companies, repairs, and possible medical bills. I hope this service will make things a bit easier for them.”
Starting immediately, all businesses seeking crash reports will be referred to GetCrashReports.com website. Residents still have the option of coming to the station, but the department strongly encourages them to use the service as well. Fatal crash reports will still only be available directly at the Arlington Police Station, however.
To obtain a crash report, follow these simple steps:
- Go to GetCrashReports.com and click on the State of Massachusetts
- Enter Search Values in Box B: (report number, person name or town name)
and/or
- Enter optional Date Range in Box C
- Click the Next Step button
- Click the Add to Cart check box for the desired report and click the Next Step button
- Fill in the credit card information and click the Place Order Now button
- Click Download Crash Report button to view your report
