BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas Browne reports that the Burlington Police Department is seeking a man in connection with an attack on a dog walker Tuesday morning at Mill Pond Reservoir.
At about 9:30 a.m., police received a report of a 69-year-old man who was attacked as he was walking his dog around Mill Pond Reservoir. It was reported that the accused attacker also violently attacked and beat the dog the 69-year-old man was walking, causing serious injury to the dog. The alleged incident occurred because of a confrontation between the parties’ dogs.
Police are seeking to interview a person of interest in this case. The man is described as a white male in his early 30s, with an athletic build, who was riding a black mountain bike at the reservoir. He was accompanied by two dogs, including one described as a beagle mix.
The department is seeking anyone who may have video of this incident, as well as any other information.
