NARRAGANSETT — Chief Sean Corrigan is pleased to share that the Narragansett Police Department is collecting toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program once again this holiday season.

From now through Dec. 10, community members can donate new, unwrapped toys and gifts at the Narragansett Police Station, 40 Caswell St., during normal business hours. A donation box is located in the lobby.

“We are proud to be supporting Toys for Tots once again, a program that not only spreads happiness, but also fosters a sense of community and compassion during the holiday season,” Chief Sean Corrigan said. “It is a powerful reminder that small gestures can make a significant positive impact on the lives of others, especially children.”

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program was founded in 1947 to donate toys to kids who are less fortunate during the holiday season. To date, 652 million toys have been distributed to 291 million children. To learn more about Toys for Tots, visit toysfortots.org.
