Hubbard Memorial Library Awarded $46,010 Cultural Sector Recovery for Organizations Grant

LUDLOW — Town Administrator Marc Strange and Library Director Patrick McGowan are pleased to announce that the Hubbard Memorial Library received grant funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Hubbard Memorial Library was awarded a $46,010 Cultural Sector Recovery for Organizations Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The grant funding will be used to replenish funding for Youth Services programs, to purchase a new Youth Services desk to accommodate additional full-time staff members, to perform interior paint and restoration work for the library’s program room, and to purchase new shelving to allow for the existing space to be utilized more effectively.

Planning for the funding was developed by the Library Board of Trustees, staff, and input from the public.

“I would like to thank the Massachusetts Cultural Council for awarding us this grant funding,” said Library Director McGowan. “This is an exciting opportunity to continue to enhance our ability to serve our patrons, the town of Ludlow and surrounding communities.”
