WEST NEWBURY — Superintendent Justin Bartholomew, Principal Jonathan Seymour, and Fine & Performing Arts Department Chair David Schumacher are pleased to share that a Pentucket Regional High School first year student will participate in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) Junior Festival Concert.
Hailey Bruno of Groveland competed against students in Grades 7-9 from across the northeast corner of Massachusetts to earn her spot in the MMEA Northeastern District Junior Festival Choir.
Bruno will perform with the choir on Saturday, March 18, at Galvin Middle School in Wakefield. The concert also features performances by students selected in Band, Orchestra, and Jazz.
“Hailey is a talented young vocalist,” Schumacher said. “We are so proud to see her earn her spot in the MMEA Festival, and we look forward to seeing what she does in the future.”
The Massachusetts Music Educators Association is a member of the National Association for Music Education, among the world’s largest arts education organizations and the voice of music education in the United States.
“It is great to see Hailey get the recognition she deserves,” said Superintendent Bartholomew. “To be selected for the Junior Festival is an impressive accomplishment, and we are all proud to watch her succeed.”
