WOBURN – The School Committee and Mayor Scott Galvin wish to share answers to frequently asked questions about the ongoing contract negotiations with the Woburn Teachers Association.

School will be canceled tomorrow, Feb. 2, the fourth consecutive day students will be denied an education. The Woburn Teachers Association will continue its illegal strike, ignoring both state and court rulings that they return to work.
The Commonwealth Employment Relations Board has found the WTA and its president in contempt of a court order, and will issue daily fines against the union and president starting Thursday.
Mayor Galvin and the School Committee once again urge teachers to stop this illegal job action, and return to work in the best interest of Woburn’s children.
