STOW — Town Administrator Denise Dembkoski is pleased to announce that Dolores Hamilton has been selected to serve as Stow’s first assistant town administrator.

Hamilton will begin her new role on Monday, Sept. 13. She will be primarily responsible for supporting the town’s human resources work, as well as overseeing constituent services.

“Dolores’ ability to connect with residents and form lasting relationships make her perfect for this position. Along with that, she has nearly 24 years of experience in the municipal sector, which I am confident will serve her well here in Stow,” said Town Administrator Dembkoski. “We are so happy to have her aboard, and on behalf of our residents, employees and community members, I would like to officially welcome her to Stow.”

Hamilton previously served as the director of human resources for the City of Framingham and City of Newton. She has also served as a director of human resources, recruitment coordinator, education coordinator and therapeutic recreation specialist in the healthcare industry.

“I am so excited to begin this new role. It is such an honor to be chosen,” said Hamilton. “I look forward to getting to know the residents, town employees and community members and learning more about what makes the Town of Stow so special.”

She holds a bachelor’s degree in social services and therapeutic recreation from the University of Connecticut. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration with a focus in healthcare administration from Western New England University.
