ROCKLAND — Superintendent Alan Cron is pleased to announce information regarding summer enrichment programs for students in the district.
Programs will be offered free of charge, and free breakfast and lunch to go will be provided for all participants. The programs will follow the most up-to-date protocols for social distancing and safety to keep all participants safe.
Elementary Program
The program will consist of exciting hands-on thematic learning for Rockland children entering Grades 1-4. Every day will include academic instruction integrated with projects and special visits from outside vendors.
Session dates and themes include:
- July 26-29: Rockets and Robots (space and robotics week)
- Aug. 2-5: Aardvarks to Zebras (animal science week)
- Aug. 9-12: Fun & Games (carnival week)
Sessions will run Monday to Thursday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Esten School, 733 Summer St.
As children will be inside and outside, they should dress appropriately for the weather. Children should come with sunscreen applied, a labeled water bottle, and a peanut-free snack.
