CAPE ANN — The Greater Cape Ann Community Collaborative (GCACC) is pleased to announce the launch of its news blog, which will serve as a hub for the latest updates and announcements regarding the collaborative’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
The blog, capeannclinic.com, is integrated with municipal social media channels of the ten communities belonging to the GCACC and will automatically broadcast news blog content onto the feeds. The ten communities participating in the GCACC include Boxford, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Middleton, Rockport, Topsfield and Wenham.
“Having a central resource for members of our communities to turn to for updates and information on upcoming clinics is critical, and we hope the blog serves as a useful resource to streamline the vaccination process as much as possible for everyone,” Ipswich Town Manager Anthony Marino said. “We encourage those looking to find a local, convenient location to get vaccinated to visit the site and sign up for one of our upcoming clinics.”
“Getting a COVID-19 vaccination protects you from getting seriously sick from COVID-19, and it also may protect the people around you, including family, friends and your community,” Hamilton Public Health Nurse Rachel Lee said. “Especially as the majority of COVID-19 public health restrictions will be lifted statewide this weekend, we urge members of our communities to visit our news blog and get their vaccine as soon as possible.”
The blog also features links to local resources specific to each GCACC community.
New vaccination locations, pop-up clinics, dates and times will be posted to the site as they become available.
“The Topsfield team is excited to be partnering with the regional collaborative and are grateful for the opportunity to play such a vital role in the vaccination effort,” said Topsfield Town Administrator Kevin Harutunian. “We are committed to doing whatever it takes to help our community and our neighbors obtain vaccines as effectively as possible.”
With a clean, user-friendly and mobile responsive layout, the news blog allows for easy navigation. It can be accessed on computers, cell phones and tablets.
The blog includes an option to subscribe for email updates, as well as information about COVID-19 vaccines, a local resources guide and links to regional and statewide resources.
The news blog was designed by John Guilfoil Public Relations.
