RAYMOND — Superintendent Tina McCoy is pleased to announce a COVID-19 vaccination clinic was held for district employees this week at Raymond High School.

The clinic was held on Thursday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This clinic was for district employees only and all participants were required to sign up in advance. Student interns who are age 16 or older were able to receive the vaccine as well, with parent permission. There was also a standby list of family members of employees who were called if/when additional appointments were available.

Over 400 individuals, including some Nottingham School District employees, were vaccinated at the clinic.

The vaccine was provided and administered by staff from the town’s Walgreens pharmacy.

“We are grateful to be able to provide Raymond and Nottingham staff this opportunity to get vaccinated if they wish to,” Superintendent McCoy said. “Thank you to our Safety and Facilities Staff, and Human Resources Department who helped organize this clinic, which marks an important step toward bringing students back in the classroom full-time.”

A second clinic will be held on April 8 for staff to receive their second dose of the vaccine, as well as those who were unable to attend Thursday’s clinic.

District officials announced on Thursday that their hope is to bring students back into the classroom five days a week starting May 3. A remote option would remain available for those who request it and families are asked to fill out a survey about their preference by noon on Monday, March 22. More information can be found here.
