Middleborough Fire Department Responds to Single Vehicle Rollover Crash Thursday Afternoon

MIDDLEBOROUGH – Fire Chief Lance Benjamino reports that the Middleborough Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash this afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, Middleborough Fire was dispatched to the area of 139 Fuller St. for a report of a motor vehicle rollover with the operator trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters from Engine 1, the Shift Commander in Car 91 and an ambulance responded. 

Upon arrival, first responders found the vehicle on its roof and a man trapped inside. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate him from the vehicle. 

The man, the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Morton Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Middleborough Police Department.
