DEDHAM — Town Manager Leon Goodwin and Dedham Board of Health Chairwoman Leanne Jasset would like to inform the community that the state has added additional days of COVID-19 testing through next week.
Next week’s testing site schedule is:
- Monday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon
- Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 1-5 p.m.
- Thursday, Sept. 24 from 2-6 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 25 from noon to 4 p.m.
The testing is conducted by Fallon Ambulance at the Endicott Estate, located at 656 East St.
Testing is open to and free for all. You do not need to have symptoms to be tested. The testing is drive-through only and no walk-ups will be allowed. No appointment is necessary.
“Thank you to everyone who came throughout the past week to be tested,” Town Manager Goodwin said. “We continue to actively fight this virus and testing helps us to understand the spread of the virus in our community. We encourage everyone to get tested, as well as continue to take the necessary safety measures, including wearing a mask and maintaining a social distance of 6 feet from others.”
Dedham officials partnered with state leaders last week to bring the mobile testing unit to town in response to the designation by the state as a COVID-19 “high risk” community. According to data released by the state, as of Wednesday, Sept. 16, Dedham has had 495 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 14 days, 1,591 tests have been administered.
Dedham residents are reminded to visit DedhamCOVID19.com, which serves as a dedicated town resource for information on the pandemic.
