CANTON — Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to announce the graduation of 190 students from Blue Hills Technical School today.

Blue Hills celebrated graduating seniors in a hybrid drive-through style graduation on Tuesday, June 9. Seniors and their families were restricted to one car and organized by vocational program.

“The Graduation Committee has been hard at work listening, deliberating and planning a ceremony that will provide the proper closure and recognition for our seniors,” said Superintendent Rossetti. “We are very grateful to the Canton Board of Health for reviewing our plans and helping us to ensure a safe event for all.”

Each vocational program proceeded in vehicles as a group to the front of the school and the graduation stage. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Class Secretary Lily Theresa Roberge, and Class Treasurer Stacey Registre presented the 2020 Class Gift. Graduates were then able to cross the stage and receive their diplomas after their name was called, before returning to their cars.

The Class of 2020 Co-Valedictorians are Briana J. Ramey, a drafting student from Randolph, and Brandon Seamus Robinson, an electrical student from Dedham

All speeches were pre-recorded and will be featured in a final graduation video. The entire event was professionally recorded and will be made available to all seniors and their families. A photographer was also on site to capture students receiving their diplomas.

The video features a Valedictory Address, as well as a Farewell Address from Class President Galen Patrick Galeotos celebrating his fellow graduates and their accomplishments throughout their time at Blue Hills Technical School.

Senator Walter Timilty served as a guest speaker for the graduation in a pre-recorded address to the Class of 2020.

“While it was certainly not the senior year our students had envisioned, I am so proud of their hard work throughout their time at Blue Hills Technical School,” said Principal Geoff Zini. “Each and every one of our graduates will be respected representatives of our school as they progress with their future plans and careers.”
