Acton Fire Department Extinguishes Car Fire on Route 2

ACTON — Chief Robert Hart reports that the Acton Fire Department extinguished a car fire this morning. 

At 8:48 a.m., the Acton Fire Department was dispatched to Route 2 eastbound prior to the Route 27 interchange for a report of a car fire. Upon arrival, firefighters located a four-door passenger vehicle with flames visible from the front end. 

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. The lone occupant of the vehicle was able to exit unharmed. The driver reported experiencing engine trouble prior to the fire. 

Massachusetts State Police also responded to the scene.
