Salem Police Seeking Suspect in Armed Robbery

SALEM — Deputy Chief Joel Dolan reports that the Salem Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that took place on Friday.

At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Salem Police responded to Pearl’s Candy and Nuts at 356 South Broadway for a report of a robbery. Police learned after an initial investigation that a man had entered the business and walked through the store before brandishing a knife and demanding money from the clerk.

The man left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, and the clerk was not harmed.

The suspect is described as a white male, who was wearing a dark colored hoodie with white drawstrings, a black face mask with white fangs, dark pants and dark shoes with white soles at the time of the incident.

A Salem Police K9 attempted to track the suspect through the heavily traveled plaza, but police were unable to locate the suspect.

Salem Police are actively seeking this suspect and investigating this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call Detective Connor Nolan at 603-893-1911.
